She Won

My Mom is a fighter. She knows what she wants and goes for it. Tonight she wanted to be with her maker. My Mom passed away this evening. She left this world peacefully and surrounded by her family. These past three weeks have been the hardest weeks of our lives. Remember the good times my Mom brought to everyone around her and find comfort knowing that she is now in a better place. We will post information about final arrangements very soon. Thanks for loving my Mom.

  1. Dallas, I am sorry about your loss. I remember Dee from the Eco-tourism and sister city committees in Seabrook. Her energy and outgoing personality contrasted to my more reserved nature. I remember her the night before the first election to city council, she stopped by my house late in the evening, knocking softly on a window so as not a wake up any sleeping family members. I let her in and she just wanted to share her excitement about her full day of campaigning. I can only imagine she made several more stops, late into the night, to share her excitement with other friends. Yes, Dee has always been winner.

  2. Dallas and family,

Words are inadequate to express how sorry I am at your loss.

Dee, my beloved friend, touched as many lives as there are stars in the sky.

Dee had contagious passion for life and joy, she never knew a stranger, she poured out limitless kindness and encouragement for those in need, (both humans and animals), believed all wrongs could be righted, all obstacles overcome, and that any person could do anything - anything - with persistence and dedication.

She talked a mile a minute, as if there would never be enough time to get all the words out, to share her insights, to tell you her dreams and hear yours. Dee had thousands of things to be done and thousands of things she did. She was a whirlwind of purposeful activity.

She was a sparkling glittery eruption of smiles and laughter on earth and I believe she is now one of God's brightest stars, shining and smiling down on us all. She will always have a place in my heart. She will be missed.

Love and prayers to you all,
    Kay Lunn

  3. Dee
Ill never forget the day you came to my house & gave me a big hug & kiss. The next day rucruiting Kyle and Dylan in putting up your signs make "Dee Wright" choice. Those two had the best time riding riding through the neighborhood on the gulfcart.

Ill never forget your smile and how proud you were talking about your family and what they were up to, at the highschool football games.
love you Dee & God bless your family

  4. Hi Dallas,
I'm your Mom's second cousin. Unfortunately the last time I saw her was when we were both children and she, Jack and her parents visited us in Connecticut before they went to Germany. But I'm in touch with your granfather, Bob and his sister, Elaine. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Enjoy the wonderful memories of your mother, they are the most important thing you'll ever have.

    Take care,
    Michelle Tichauer Fanwick

I am so very heartbroken for your loss, I knew your Mom when she worked here in NW ARkansas and she was always a light shining and a bright spot in the day.
Please know that prayers are coming your way (and your family) in this tough time.
