Hardest Days
The past few days have been the hardest days of our lives. The neurologist informed us that my Mom will not be coming back to us. His reccomendation was to take her off life support and let her be with God. We struggled with this for days. We asked for more tests and a second opinion, but the answer remained unchanged. Last night my Mom was taken off life support. She is breathing peacefully on her own and is comfortable. We welcome friends to come and visit her. Call my Dad at 281-216-3639 to arrange a time to come and visit. I will continue posting information about my Mom on this site.

So sorry to hear this. I have been praying for your mom and your family ever since I heard about her situation. I will continue to pray for all of you. I know your mom from the bank and from CCAH where she brings her pets. I don't think I have ever seen her when she wasn't smiling and full of joy. May God wrap his loving arms around all of you at this stressful time.
ReplyDeleteHi Dallas,
ReplyDeleteI met your mother when she came to Los Angeles to visit. My mother and aunt used to live next door to all of you when you lived in Seascape in Seabrook. My mother gave Dee my number in California as she was working on a kind of "battle of the bands" type project. When I met Dee, I found her to be such a vivacious and wonderful person. My aunt called last night to tell us about what had happened. I was just shocked and dismayed to hear that she was in the hospital. Then, coincidentally, I saw your post today when researching Kemah. Our prayers are with you and your family during this time.

ReplyDeleteMay the peace and strength of God be with you now and in all the days to come. My love and prayers to each of you.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Elizondo. I am a mother of a cadet at the Air Force Academy class of 2013. I am so so sorry to hear about your mother's illness. I understand perfectly what you are going through. My husband passed away 7 months ago and he also was very young. I am praying for you and your family through these hard times. Be strong and ask God for wisdom and strength. I will continue to pray for a miracle. You are not alone.
ReplyDeleteHi Dallas, Thank you for sharing your story with all of us who love Dee. I know these have been the hardest words for you to write. Your Mom is a very special person and she and your Dad did a great job in raising two fine boys that have grown into such stong young men. Your family is loved.
